1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using qrRwanda ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
qrRwanda provides an online QR code generation platform that allows users to:
- Create QR codes for various types of content (URLs, text, vCards, WiFi, etc.)
- Customize QR code designs with colors, logos, and styles
- Download QR codes in multiple formats (PNG, SVG, PDF)
- Track QR code scans and analytics (paid plans)
- Manage multiple QR codes through a dashboard
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- Your full name
- A secure password (or use Google OAuth)
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Abuse the Service or harm other users
- Remain inactive for extended periods (as per our data retention policy)
4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 Permitted Use
You may use qrRwanda for lawful purposes including:
- Business marketing and promotions
- Personal projects and events
- Educational purposes
- Non-profit and charitable activities
4.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to use our Service to create QR codes that:
- Link to illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful software
- Phish for personal information or credentials
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Contain hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content
- Promote violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
- Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Infringe on privacy or data protection laws
4.3 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content encoded in your QR codes and the destinations they link to. qrRwanda is not liable for user-generated content.
5. Subscription Plans and Payments
5.1 Free Plan
- Limited to 10 QR codes
- 100 total scans
- 7 days analytics retention
- PNG format downloads only
5.2 Paid Plans
We offer the following paid subscription plans:
- 14-Day Limited: FRw 2,115 (100 QR codes, unlimited scans, 14 days retention)
- 14-Day Full Access: FRw 2,844 (1,000 QR codes, advanced analytics, 14 days retention)
- Pro Annual: FRw 29,093/month billed yearly (unlimited QR codes, 3 years retention)
5.3 Payment Terms
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe (international cards) or Mobile Money (Rwanda)
- All fees are non-refundable except as stated in our refund policy
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
- Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year
5.4 Refund Policy
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans:
- Full refund available within 7 days of purchase
- Contact info@qrrwanda.inovasiyo.rw to request a refund
- Refunds processed within 5-10 business days
- After 7 days, refunds are evaluated case-by-case
5.5 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- Access continues until the end of the billing period
- No prorated refunds for partial periods
- QR codes remain active but analytics retention reduces to Free plan limits
6. QR Code Limitations
6.1 Plan Limits
If you exceed your plan's QR code limit:
- Existing QR codes continue to function
- You cannot create new QR codes until upgrading or deleting existing codes
- Scan tracking continues but older analytics may be purged per retention policy
6.2 QR Code Lifetime
- Static QR Codes: Never expire (content is embedded in the QR code)
- Tracked QR Codes: Function indefinitely, but analytics retention varies by plan
- We do not guarantee perpetual storage of QR code data after account deletion
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Your Content
You retain all rights to content you encode in QR codes. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and process your QR code data
- Display your QR codes within your account
- Generate analytics based on scan data
7.2 Our Platform
All qrRwanda branding, code, design, and functionality are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our platform code
- Reverse engineer our QR generation algorithms
- Use our branding without permission
- Create derivative works from our platform
7.3 Downloaded QR Codes
QR codes you generate and download are yours to use commercially or personally, provided:
- The encoded content is lawful
- You comply with these Terms of Service
- You do not misrepresent the source or creator
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of qrRwanda is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which details:
- What data we collect (email, name, QR content, scan analytics)
- How we use and protect your data
- Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and Rwanda data protection laws
- Cookie usage and tracking
- Data retention and deletion policies
9. Service Availability
9.1 Uptime
While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Server upgrades
- Unexpected technical issues
- Force majeure events
9.2 Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature
- Change plan pricing with advance notice
- Update the platform without prior notification
- Remove or limit features for security or legal reasons
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
qrRwanda is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of analytics data
- Compatibility with all devices or browsers
We do not guarantee that QR codes will scan correctly on all devices, or that scan tracking will be 100% accurate.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, qrRwanda and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits due to Service interruptions
- Damages caused by user-generated content encoded in QR codes
- Third-party actions resulting from QR code destinations
- Malicious use of QR codes by other users
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless qrRwanda, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms of Service
- Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
- Content you encode in QR codes
- Unauthorized use of your account
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiations
- Mediation (if negotiations fail)
- Rwandan courts (if mediation fails)
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service periodically. When we do:
- We'll update the "Last Updated" date
- Significant changes will be notified via email
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- You may terminate your account if you disagree with changes
